Notes a) 2 dxc5 e6 is easy equality. White should avoid the trap 3 b4? a5 4 c3 axb4 5 cxb4 Qf6.
b) The chances are also equal after 13 de6 Ne6 14 Bc4 Nd4!
c) 9 Nd2 is a better try. After 9 ... Qc7 10 a5 b5 the game is about equal.
d) Or 6 h3; 6 Nd2; 6 Bd3; 6 Bg5; 6 Bf4?!
e) The Na6-c7 plan is also good, i.e. ... Na6!? 8 h3 Nc7 9 Qd3 a6 10 a4 b5!=
f) Black resorts to the Bonzo exchange since 5 ... Nf6 is met by 6 Bb5+, when ... Nbd7 is refuted by 7 e5!
g) The natural moves 8 Nf3, 8 Bd2, and 8 Qd2 can all be answered strongly with 8 ... c4!
